Dr. John Maa, of the San Francisco Marin Medical Society, said San Francisco General Hospital treated nearly 100 e-bike injury patients in 2025, more than half of whom were hospitalized, and that only 36 of 102 riders wore helmets. The hearing would go to the board's public safety committee, which has not set a date.
