Be among the first to experience Scaling Intelligence, an exhibition presented by Gray Area and Modal, featuring 11 commissioned artworks exploring the creative possibilities of AI and computing at scale.

What new realities can artists unlock with machine intelligence at scale?

Selected through a global open call, the participating artists and collectives developed their works with Modal cloud computing credits, alongside design, curatorial, and engineering support from Gray Area and Modal. Their projects expand perspectives, create novel forms, and suggest different ways of sensing the world.

Across the exhibition, these works move between scales that rarely meet. The planetary view of a satellite sits beside the metabolism of a microbial colony, while the interior of a neural network opens onto forests and watersheds. Rather than treating AI as a way to do more of the same, the artists explore how different forms of intelligence might connect, interact, and respond to one another.

Join us on October 28 to celebrate the opening of Scaling Intelligence and the culmination of months of artistic experimentation and collaboration.
