Step into a living ofrenda! In partnership with Brava Theater, Loco Bloco presents “Esto No Se Vende,” an electrifying Día de los Muertos celebration where live music, dance, ceremony, and storytelling ignite the stage. Bay Area artists and communities come together to honor our ancestors, celebrate resilience, and move toward new life.

“Esto No Se Vende” (This We Do Not Sell) celebrates Dia de los Muertos at the historic Brava Theater in the Latino Cultural District of San Francisco. Produced by Loco Bloco, this annual event offers unique interpretations of Dia de los Muertos themes by artists from Mexican, Central American, African-American, Caribbean and other communities rooted in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Mainstage performers include: Loco Bloco Performing Ensemble, Cuicacalli Dance Company, Christelle Durandy, Lanakila Manguail and Odoiya Women’s Chorus.

On this sacred day, Brava Theater transforms to a living “ofrenda” with altares by community artists and organizations in the lobby and danza azteca ceremony in front. Both performers and the audience experience a moving cross-cultural dialogue, finding common ground that honors ancestors, addresses loss, and envisions new life.
